Domain name price hike? So what?

VeriSign logoIt is true that the market price for .com, .net and some other top-level domain names have increased to as much as 7% on 15th October last week. A lot of our customers started sending us e-mails asking if we are affected by this increase and whether we will increase the cost of our domain name registration prices this year since a lot of other local hosting providers out there have increased their domain name price from RM50 - RM60 per year.

Firstly, our customers need to know that yes, we are also affected by the increase… but to make sure that our prices remain competitive out there, we will still stick to the same price that we offer to our customers which is RM40 per year for domain name registrations. Even though this means that we are going to lose a little compared to before the price hike, they’re still considered profits to us. As long as the price hike does not exceed the price that we offer, our prices will either be remained or lowered depending on market demands.

Hopefully our curious customers will no longer be suspicious of this issue following this announcement Laughing
